OPENING OF SHOOTING SEASON
SPORT AT WHITIANGA
Shooting on the upper reaches of the Whitianga River, Mercury Bay, on Saturday, May 1, several Whitianga sporting enthusiasts had good sport on their duck drive, a few of the party achieving limit bags, grey duck predominating.
The party included Messrs RCreed, A. White, S. Bryce, C. Smith, C. Fielding, W. Fielding, E. Wigmore, J. McVigh, V. Rowe (Thames), and a member Of the Thames post office staff.
