PRODUCTION OF HERDS MARCH HERD TESTING YIELD PER COW, 402L8. OF MILK The Auckland Herd Improvement Association tested 68,518 cows in March, the average yield being 4021 b. milk and 221 b. fat. For the corresponding month last year 96,684 cows were handled, the production averaging 4151 b. milk and 22.21 b. fat per cow. The association’s highest group last month was Matiere-Ohura, the 644 cows comprising it yielding an average of 6181 b. milk and 341 b. fat. In the same group, was the highest herd, which gave an average of 471 b. fat per cow.
