PRIMUS EXPLODES

PAEROA MAN BADLY BURNT ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY NIGHT Severe burns to his face, arms and chest were suffered by Mr Barney Ranchodd, of Thames road, Paeroa, when a primus he was trying to light exploded. The accident occurred on Wednesday night at about 7 p.m. when Mr Ranchodd waS endeavouring to light the primus to cooH? his evening meal. Neighbours heard a loud explosion and when they arrived on the scene they found Mr Ranchodd very 'badly , burnt and the primus in pieces. After being treated by Dr. S. L. Haslett, he was admitted to the Thames Hospital who report his condition to-day as being satisfactory.
