Komata Drainage Expenditure by the Ohinemuri County Council in the Komata drainage district for the year ended Anarch 31, 1943, totalled £636 Ils 9d reducing the credit balance in that account to £221 7s 8d from £276 17s 9d in the previous year.
“Thirds” and “Halves” “Thirds” and “Halves” and timber royalties- amounting to £3l Os 9d were received by the Ohinemuri County Council during the year ended March 31, 1943 compared with £95 14s 6d for the previous year. The money was expended on roads.
Heavy Traffic Fees Heavy traffic fees collected by the Ohinemuri County Council during the year ended March 31, 1943, totalled £125 17s Od compared with £194 15s Od for the previous year.
Magazine Revenue ■During the year ended March 31, 1943, the Ohinemuri County Council received £56 in revenue from the magazine, an increase'of £2 17s 3d over the previous year. No Biscuits Till June
Advice has been received by grocers in ‘Paeroa that due to an extraordinary demand by the Armed Forces, no biscuits will be available for the domestic market until. some time in June.
An Appeal For Tins A soldier’s mother has asked the Gazette to issue an. appeal for baking powder or glucose tins with lids, for dispatch to the Middle East. • Any person with an such tins to spare is asked to leave same at the Gazette Office.
