HARRIERS’ CLUB
FORMATION IN PAEROA ELECTION OF OFFICERS FIRST RACE SATURDAY WEEK A meeting of athletes called to form the Paeroa Amateur Harriers’ Club was held in the Coronation Chambers, Paeroa, on Monday night, the convener, Mr Sharp, presiding over a fair attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as under: —Patron, Mr Edwin Edwards; president, Mr R. Howard; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs G. Bain, R. A. Mace, G. Miller; secretary-treasurer, Mr .F. D. Sharp; committee, Messrs G. Payne, C. Marshall, M. Vuglar, J. Fowler, D. S. Barlow; club captain, Mr G. Payne; auditor, Mr A. A. Jenkinson.
It was decided that the membership fee be 5s for seniors and 2s 6d for juniors.
It was decided to hold the first run from the Paeroa Domain on May 1.
