Advice that Major J. Conolly has been promoted to the rank of temporary lieu 4 enant-colonel while in charge of a battalion has been received by his mother, Mrs M. E. Conolly, of Hill Street, Paeroa.
At Tuesday’s meeting of the Thames Hospital Board, Miss L. N. Corsbie was appointed matron-in-charge of the Thames Hospital. Miss Corsbie who will commence duty on June 22 was formerly employed at the Waimarino Hospital, Raetihi.
