MUSHROOMS ABOUT
MANY PICKED AT WEEK-END
PAEROA PEOPLE OUT EARLY \ After the warm rain which fell last week mushrooms are again plentiful and' many residents of Paeroa and the surrounding district enjoyed the delicacy during the week-end. Parties gathering mushrooms were seen in all parts of the district ‘both on Saturday and early -Sunday and some large basketfulls were reported. One party of three accompanied by a small child reported that on the Hauraki Plains they were able to pick a large bucket- and a big ■ shopping basket bpth full in under half an hour. - Although some large .mushrooms were found most were on the small sjde, probably due to the long spell of dry weather recently experienced,
