THAMES JOCKEY CLUB OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR MR W. BONGARD PRESIDENTThere was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Thames Jockey Club, held last week, the president, Mr W. Bongard, presiding. Apologies for non-attend-ance were received from Messrs A. Christie and P. E. Brenan. Report and Balance-Sheet The president’s report (as published, previously) and the balance-sheet, having been circulated to members, were received, and after some discussion, duly adopted. Vote of Confidence The president referred to the loss to the club by the recent deaths of Messrs J. Twohill, A. Steedman, J. McCormick, J. E. Phillips, W. Graham and R. Richards and moved that the club extend its sympathy to the relatives of these late members. The motion was carried in silence. Vice-President’s 111-Health On the motion of Mr E. O. Brownlee and the president, it was decided to write to Mi’ A. Christie, vice-presi-dent, wishing him ■ a speedy recovery from his present ill-health. Election of e Committee The retiring members, Messrs E.'F. Adams, W. H. Baker, W. Bongard and C. H. Coakley, were re-elected to the committee and Messrs H. Dent, C. J. Dean and F. E. McCullough were also elected on the committee to fill vacancies caused "by recent deaths. Election, of Officers The following officers were elected: —President, Mr W. Bongard; vicepresident, Mr A. Christie; treasurer, Mr A. Christie; chairman of committee, Mr H. R. Bush; executive committee, Messrs H. R. Bush, W. Bongard, P. E. Brenan and A. Christie; judicial committee, Messrs H. R. Bush, W. H. Baker J W. Bongard and A. Christie; stewards, the committee; judge, Mr H. Dent; assistant judge, Mr C. W. Winder; handicapper, Mr A. Tronson; starter, Mr M. Crimmins; clerk of scales, Mr E. Whitehead; clerk of course, Mr S. Symes; timekeeper,.Mr P. Corbett; auditor, Mr W. J. Hosking.
