MATCHES ON THE PLAINS. TURUA WINS CUPS. The final matches of the Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s inter-club competitions were set down to be played on Saturday, but owing to the weather being so good following the week of wet weather many players were engaged in hay-making, with the result that several matches were postponed, by mutual arrangement. For the same reason many teams were much below normal strength. Turua again won both its matches, and thus won both the “A” and the “B” competitions for the season. Details are as follows :— TURUA V.
