FIGURES FOR PAEROA.

AVERAGE HIGHER THAN IN 1928. / Last month 7.17 inches of rainfall were recorded in Paeroa, being 3.91 inches more than in October and 4.61 move than in the same month last year. The whole of the year so far has been drier, with 49.79 inches, than the corresponding period in 1928, when 58.99 inches were recorded. Rain last month fell on 18 days, with the 9th, the date of the storm which did such great damage at Maratoto, showing 2.45 inches, the worst day. Rain fell in each week, the wettest being the second in the month, with 4.52 inches; The warmest days were the 26th and 27th, with 64 degrees, two degrees higher than the warmest day in October, and the coldest was the 16th, with 56 degrees. HAURAKI PLAINS FIGURES. RECORDINGS FOR NOVEMBER. The total rain recorded for November by the gauge at the office of the Lands Drainage Department, Kerepeehi, was 4.63 inches, which is almost one and one-third inches above the average for the last seventeen Novembers. This month’s total was exceeded in 1926, 1924, 1916, 1915, and 1913, and it is almost two inches above the total for November of last year. The total for the eleven months of the present year is 36.44 inches, which is 3.4 inches below the average for the similar period for the last 17 years, and lower than the totals in that period with the exception of the year's 1925, 1921, 1919, 1914, and 1913. Rain was recorded on a relatively high number of days last month, the total being 17, but on no one day was there any great amount of rain, the highest reading being only .55—on Wednesday, 27th.
