Advice has been received that the Postmaster-General has authorised the inauguration of a daily rural mail delivery service for Waitakaruru Road from Dalgety’s corner to the post office. The service will commence as soon as the settlers get their boxes erected. It has been said that the man who causes two blades of grass to grow where only one grew before is a public benefactor If that be true—and true it assuredly is—what is to be said of those who establish a flourishing N.Z. industry which finds employment for numerous hands, develops our latent resources, and keeps the money in the country ? At one time the poor gumlands of the North and the barren clays of Nelson were worthless and unproductive. Look at them now!
