DISTRICT NEWS.

KEREPEEHI. LABOUR ACTIVITIES. There was an attendance of- close on forty at the monthly meeting of the Kerepeehi branch of the N.Z. Labour Party on Friday evening, including a number of ladies, members of the Ngatea branch, and a keen supporter who had cycled from Thames to attend the meeting with a view to ascertaining the secret of success of the branch so that it could be applied to Thames. An interesting paper on Socialism was read by Mr D. Hill. It provoked so much discussion that there was no time left for the business meeting, which was accordingly postponed until the following week. Supper was served by the lady members, and an invitation to attend the monthly meeting of the ' Ngatea branch was extended and accepted.
