A SIMPLE REMEDY.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —A paragraph in your issue of November 8 stated that a number of cows in the Turua district had, as a result of eating white clover, become blown and had died. I have an old and effective remedy for such cases, namely, half a pound of baking powder as a drench. Many cattle, to my own knowledge, have been saved by this simple remedy. Baking soda cannot be substituted for the powder. „ W. C. SLAUGHTER.
