CLEARING SALE AT NGATEA. Very high prices were realised for dairy cows at a clearing sale at Ngatea yesterday conducted by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs A. Buckland and Sons. Fifty-nine head of cattle were sold, and the average for the lot, good and bad, was £l4 3s. The bull brought £25 4s, and the top price for cows was £23. The milking cows averaged £l5 ss. The sundries also sold at good prices.
