One of the outstanding attractions of the “N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review” is the section printed in colours by the offset method. This includes a frontispiece of Mary Pickford as she appears in her latest role of Kathrine in the “Taming of the Shrew,” a page of fashions to delight the feminine eye, street scenes in Jerusalem, and fine views of excavations in Rome. The double centre pages are specially gay, featuring the latest overseas happenings. The Wellington Racing Club and the Waikato Hunt Club meetings are shown in graphic sets of illustrations, and from Australia comes a page of Cup Day scenes at Caulfield. Trotting is not neglected, but has a fine budget of views of the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting.
