BAPTISMAL SERVICE

BISHOP OF DIOCESE OFFICIATES

On Wednesday evening last the Lord Bishop, the Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, administered the Sacrament of Holy Baptism immediately before the Sacrament of Confirmation. The choir ably rendered the choral portion of the service, which was conducted with full ceremonial according to the rites and ceremonies of the English Church, the Bishop being vested in an elaborate Cope and Mitre and carrying his pastoral staff, and supported 'on either side by two Acolytes vested in red cassocks and white surplices. The occasion was the admission into Christ’s flock through the lava of regeneration the vicar’s infant daughter Joan Pauline. Following the Confirmation service on Wednesday last, the members of St. Paul’s Church Vestry and Ladies’ Guild entertained the Lord Bishop and the candidates to a social in the Parish Hall.
