WAIHI HOSPITAL.
BENEFIT CONCERT.
A SUCCESSFUL AFFAIR.
Last evening an audience which filled the Miners’ Union Hall at Waihi almost to overflowing supported the cause of hospital assistance, and at the same time was treated to an enjoyable concert. The artists embraced a number of new performers, as well as well-known platform singers. Paeroa contributed its quota by the presence and help of Mrs Harvey Evans, Messrs F. G. Williams, and E. V. Slyfield. Mrs J. W. Jones, of Waikino, was responsible for the organisation of a gathering from which the box receipts should give valued help to the funds of the Waihi Hospital.
