HERD-TESTING.
RECORDINGS FOR AUGUST. FIGURES FOR DISTRICT GROUPS. The August figures for groups of cows in this district tested by the N.Z. Co-operative Herd-testing Association are as follows :— Patetonga—292 cows, 6901 b milk, 4.4 test, 30.611 b fat; highest herd, of 17 cows, averaged 48.171 b fat; highest cow 811 b fat, and lowest cow 41b fat. Waihi. —239 cows, 6481 b milk, 4.2 test, 27.481 b fat; highest herd, of 5 cows, averaged 13.501 b fat; highest cow 531 b fat, and lowest cow 51b fat. The highest average was that of Raglan, with 36.931 b fat. The highest herd average was at Whatawhata — 53.531 b fat. The highest cow at Te Rapa, 991 b fat. The average for 33,625 cows tested in August was 6871 b milk, 4.4 test, and 30.671 b fat.
