TURUA STOCK SALE. There is an easing tendency in . the live stock market at the present time, and though the prices realised at Messrs A. Buckland and Son’s monthly sale at the Turua yards on Friday were very satisfactory, being right on a par with the ruling rates, they were below those which have ruled at Turua for some months, when, considering the class of cattle offered, prices have generally exceeded those of Westfield. There was an average yarding, including a large number of herd bulls. Good quality cows and heifers close to profit were in demand, but backward and inferior cattle were not wanted.
Best dairy cows realised up to £l2 10s, inferior and backward from £7, good heifers at profit £9 15s to £ll 15s, and other heifers from £7 15s ; forward young store cows 1 £5 10s to £6 7s 6d ; boners £3 to £5 5s ; sound young bulls lOgns to 13gns, others from 41gns ; potting bulls £4 15s to £9.
