HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports : — At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday we had an average yarding of fat and store cattle and a good yarding of fat sheep. Good quality beef met with keen competition and sold at late rates, but owing to the heavy yarding of fat sheep these were slightly easier. Store cattle came forward in average numbers and sold at late rates. There was a heavy yarding of all classes of pigs, which sold under keen competition at late rates. Quotations Cattle. —Medium fat steers £l5 to £l5 9s ; heavy fat cows £ll 10s to £l3 2s, medium £9 8s to £lO 19s, light £6 16s to £8 10s ; stores £4 to £6 2s 6d; vealers £2 15s ; Jersey and Jer-sey-cross yearling heifers £6 2s. Sheep.—Fat wethers 39s to 39s 3d ; fat and forwards wethers 30s to 33s ; prime fat ewes 28s to 32s ; fat and forward ewes 23s 6d to 25s 6d ; fat hoggets 26s to 30s 4d. Pigs.—Heavy baconers £4 2s to £4 9s, medium £3 14s to £3 18s, light £3 5s to £3 10s ; heavy porkers £2 15s to £3 2s, light £2 5s to £2 10s ; good stores £2 4s to £2 8s ; slips 26s to 335; weaners 16s to 27s ; sows in pig £3 to £4 15s.
