Patetonga road work is evidently going to be recommenced immediately. Tractors, graders, disc harrows, and a roller were despatched to Patetonga this morning from the Lands Department’s depot at Kerepeehi, where they have been undergoing an overhaul. Of the improved land handed over’ by the Lands Drainage Department to the Land Board for disposal £171,951 5s worth has been leased, while the value of the unleased areas is £13,870 15s 9d. Unimproved land not yet disposed of is valued at £44,375 5s Id, permanent reserves at £BB5l, with improvements to adjoining Crown lands valued at £7710.
