AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. SATURDAY NIGHT. FASHIONS FOR WOMEN. The story of “Fashions for Women,” adapted from a French play, “The Girl of the Hour,” is the amusing tale of Celeste de Givray, “zee mos beautiful woman in all Paree.” While much of the production is woven round a lavish fashion show, the picture cannot be said to lack masculine appeal. The story, one of business, contains a rare quality of humour too often lacking in comedy productions. TURUA PICTURES. SATURDAY NIGHT. AFTER THE STORM. “After the Storm,” showing at Tnrua Hall to-morrow night is a picture which is sure to appeal to those who enjoy a happy blending of drama, comedy, and romance. The cast will appeal to all who like good acting and popular players. Beautiful atmospheric backgrounds take the audience to Singapore aboard a square-rigged schooner and on the high seas. ANNUAL BALL. KEREPEEHI, NEXT TUESDAY. The annual ball in connection with the activities of the Kerepeehi Church of England is advertised to take place on Tuesday next, the 20th inst. Previous dances held by this organisation have been exceedingly successful, and every effort is being made so that the function on Tuesday next will surpass anything yet attempted in the district. The music will be supplied by the well-known “K” Boys’ Orchestra. A free bus will leave Paeroa at 7.30 p.m.
