PAEROA V. HIKUTAIA. \ DRAWN GAMES. Notwithstanding the threatening aspect of the weather and the heavy nature of the ground, teams comprising members of the Paeroa and Hikutaia Ladies’ Hockey Clubs indulged in a particularly enjoyable-afternoon’s sport onj the Paeroa Domain on Saturday afternoon last. It was a mudbespattered but -jolly procession i that left the-field at the conclusion, of the games, 6oth of which endeji in a dpw. The first match, Hinerno^'(Hikutaia), versus Rovers (paeroa),’Was a battle royal, and developed into a Very fast game. She defence on both sides was very sound, each team scoring one goal only. Miss. A. O’Neil scored for Paeroa and MissW- Brpvzn for Hikutaia. J ... ; rs > ... ■ In tl)e second match, - t Pioneers (Hikutaia) versus Wanderers '(Paeroa), neither side was able to notch d goal, i '■ : The Paeroa ladies entertained the visitors to afternoon tea in the Parish Hall. TO-MORROW’S FIXTURES. PAEROA V./TE AROHA. The following have been chosen to represent Paeroa in -ladies’ hockey against Te Aroha at the latter place to-morrow: — Misses P. Swift, N.’.Finni?, G. Finnic, J. Bellamy, E. Bell,. A. O’Neil, B. Bunting, P. Pivott, V. Shand, B. Hunter, C. Swann. Emergencies:. Miss M. Power, Mrs Cooper, and Miss E. Hayward. The bus will leave the Waihi-Pae-roa Transport Co.’s garage at 2 p.m. NEXT SATURDAY’S MATCHES. PIAKO V. ROTORUA. The following Paeroa players have been selected as Piako representatives to play Rotorua A at Morrinsville on Saturday :— Misses- J, Bellamy, V. Shand, A. O’Neill, and B. Hunter.
