The Paeroa Primary School Union’s repi'2sentatives were again successful last Saturday afternoon, beating the Hauraki Plains schoolboy team by 29 points to nil. The local boys showed greater combination, their passing movements being particularly effective. Costello, D. Dudding, E. Sparrow, and W. Gray were perhaps the most outstanding players of the Hauraki Plains fifteen. M. Costello at half back made several openings but received little support from his backs, who lacked cohesion. For Paeroa Coxhead played his usual formidabie game, whilst Fulton at wing threequarters proved to be fairly speedy and made the most of all that came his way. H. (Ginger) Robrison was responsible for many brilliant movements among the backs, most of which were turned to good account. G. Morrison, B. Alley, and Bourne were the. pick of the forwards. The Paeroa boys have now had four successive wins, scoring 63 points with 3 against. The visiting boys were entertained at afternoon tea by the local boys. The Paeroa representatives wil'. now meet Piako at Te Aroha on Saturday next. The selectors are busy ticking off the names of likely boys for the Thames Valley representatives who will be called upon to defend the Roller Mills Shield in the competition which is to be held at Cambridge during the first week of the term holidays, commencing this on Monday, August 26.
