CAR OVERTURNED.

MISHAP NEAR KARANGAHAKE.

LITTLE DAMAGE DONE. • While proceeding from Karangahake to Paeroa in his car on Saturday Mr John O’Brien had the misfortune to overturn the vehicle, but, fortunately, although there were five occupants, nobody was seriously hurt. In passing another car on a hill Mr O’Brien got too close to the bank and struck a large boulder with such force that it completely overturned his car.

A cyclist who happened to be passing at the time sigalled to the car that had just passed, and with this help Mr O’Brien was able to right his machine.

Damage was done chiefly to the hood, windscreen, front axle, and mudguards. The passengers received a severe shaking and bruising.
