BUSINESS QUEEN.

A SUCCESSFUL DANCE.

FUNDS BENEFIT.

On Monday night a most successful dance and euchre party was .held in the Gaiety Theatre in aid of the unemployment scheme Business Queen. Voluntary enjoyable music was rendered by the Sports Five Band, consisting of Messrs A. Clowes (violin), R. Flatt (piano), L. Sarjant (saxaphone), A. Morrison (banjo), and, K. Morrison (drums). The floor was in excellent order, and the many dancers thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The decorations reflected credit on Mr L. O. East, who was responsible. The first prize for men in the euchre was won by Mr J. W. Silcock, and the second by Mrs Hoare. In the ladies’ contest the first prize went to Mrs Radford and the second to Mrs Tresidder. At the special request of the donors the winners retained their prizes. Great interest was taken in the ankle competition, which was won by Miss I. Masters, with Miss E. Vincent second.

A magnificent supper was donated by Mr D. Leach.
