SATURDAY’S MATCHES. On Saturday last the first round of the Club Handicap was played in conjunction with the qualifying round of the junior championship, the first eight to qualify. The best scores in the Club Handicap were : — H. H. Bray, 85, handicap 9, net 76 ; G. M. Jupp, 111, 30, 81 ; A. Hollis, 96, 14, 82 ; C. M. Ward, 114, 30, 84 ; G. H. Dainton, 114, 30, 84. Those who qualified for the Junior Championship were : A. W. Lee, G. M. Jupp, C. M. Ward, G. H. Dainton, Dr. Davis, E. G. Preston, A. T. Jones, J. McDonald, and R. H. Dale. The two latter, who tied, will play off for the eighth place. A general meeting to discuss a notice of motion with reference to junior members is to be held at the club rooms on Saturday afternoon next.
