BOROUGH COUNCIL.
FINANCE REPORT FOR MAY. The following finance report for May was presented to the Paeroa Borough Council at its- last meeting : — The revenue in the District Fund Account 'amounted to £5OB Is 5d and the expenditure to £1399 Ils lid. Attached accounts were recommended for payment, after which the credit balance, including advances made to various loan accounts, would be £578 12s 4d.
The expenditure in the various loan accounts was as follows : Council Chambers Loan Account, £2B 10s 7d ; Sewerage Loan Account, £lO9 7s lOd ; Water Improvements Loan Account, £4O 17s 4d ; House Sewerage Connections Loan Account, £lOO. Payment of the accounts presented in the statements of the above loan accounts was recommended, after which the respective position of the various loan accounts would be :—
Sewerage, debit, £73 5s lOd ; Water Improvements, credit, £145 14s 3d; House Sewerage Connections, debit, £220 9s 9d ; Street Improvements, credit, £27 19s Id. It would be necessary for the council to fix the limit of bank overdraft in the House Sewerage Connections loan account.
It was also to be recorded that Mr W. Payne had taken up his duties as poundkeeper, ranger, sanitary driver, and dog registrar as from May 31, 1929.
