POLL OF RATEPAYERS.
WAITAKARURU WATER SUPPLY. LOAN FOR EXTENSION. A poll of ratepayers within a special rating area near the Maukorc Canal, Waitakaruru. will be taken on Wednesday next at the residence of Mr C. W. Harris on a propose! to raise a loan of £2400 for the purpose of extending the water-mains and service pipes. The rate to be pledged as security, sinking fund, and other charges for the loan will be 3d in the £ .m the unimproved value, and the period is 30 years. In addition to the rate, water charges will be levied annually to bring the charge up to that paid by the consumers in the Hauraki Plains West water supply district. The Public Works Department has agreed to subsidise the work at rhe rate of £1 for £4.
