With the very latest racing notes and a special series of photographs of the schooling work at Ellerslie this week’s issue will prove popular with all those studying form for the June racing carnival.. Prominent space has been devoted to the candidates for jumping honours, and some vivid glimpses are given of the preliminary gallops and spectacular' jumps. The frontispiece of Reigh Count, with Chick Lang up, is a beauiful equine study of America’s candidate for the Ascot Gold Cup. Rugby football at Eden Park and hockey at Remuera have each their own paricular niche. The overseas section is exceptionally strong, while the coloured supplement of Johnny Leckie will be welcomed by all sportsmen who are proud of this brilliant young boxer’s exploits in Australia. Besides the stage and screen sections, amongst other interesting photographs are those of the fliers, Moir and Owen.
