PAEROA WORK. PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD. A public meeting will be called on Thursday, June 6, to -consider the question of unemployment relief. The Borough Council has approved of the following unemployment scheme for 1929 : Cleaning, ploughing, and planting approximately three acres of the Range Street reserve, and planting one side of Station Road and Victoria Street West; a new entrance to Primrose Hill recreation reserve, with asphalt path to near the summit, and the filling up of the low portion on the Thames Road frontage ; piping and filling in drains in Station Road, Bradley Street, and Corbett Street; local work in connection with War Memorial.
