PAEROA STOCK SALE.
LARGE YARDING, GOOD SALES. DESPITE INCLEMENT WEATHER. A very large yarding was offered to buyers at the Paeroa stock sale on Monday, despite extremely adverse weather conditions. The yarding consisted of a large number of dairy cows and heifers. Best dairy cows and heifers brought from £l3 10s to £l4 15s, others £lO 10s to £l2 15s, backward £8 15s to £lO, others £7 to £8 10s ; aged cows £5 10s to £6 15s ; medium beef cows £8 5s to £9 10s, others £7 5s to £B, lighter sorts £6 5s to £7 ; good meaty and boner cows £4 to £6, inferior £2 10s to £3 15s ; in-calf heifers £4 to £6 ss, according to quality ; Jersey heifer calves £3 15s to £5, others £2 10s to £3 5s ; two-year-old steers, to £6 10s ; bulls £3 10s to £8 10s, according to condition. A small lot of weaners made 12s.
