The Rev. Frank Bateup, who has been appointed minister in charge of the local Methodist Church, has arrived from Picton, and commences his services on Sunday next. Mr, Ki veil, representative of Fpix Films, and. Mr Luke B. Wilson, special representative 'of United Artists. (Aus.) Films Ltd., are at. present in Paeroa. Mr Hector Torr, of Pipiroa, has announced his intention of contesting a seat on the Thames Valley Electric Power Board as representative of the Hauraki Plains County.
