THE HAURAKI PLAINS BODY. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.The Hauraki Plains Farmers’ Veterinary Club held its monthly meeting at Ngatea on Tuesday evening, Mr C. W. Schultz presiding over Messrs G. Phillips, R. Burke, and W. McCarthy. Leave of Absence. Mrs Costello wrote from Pukekohe on April 12 advising that Mr Costello would be unable to resume duty on Monday, April. 15, as the doctor had advised him to rest for at least a fortnight. Two weeks’ leave of absence was applied for. The leave was granted. Surgeon’s Report. The surgeon, Mr J. Costello, reported having attended 15 members, making 27 visits, while on duty during March. Visit of Minister. Mr A. W. Hall, M.P., advised that on the latest advice to hand the Minister of Agriculture would visit the Hauraki Plains during the first or second week in May. The definite date and time wo.uld be advised as soon as possible. Annual Meeting. The date of the annual meeting was left to the chairman and secretary to arrange. It will commence at 11 a.m., and an adjournment will be made for lunch at the tea-rooms. Finance. The chairman reported that the amount of outstanding subscriptions and accounts for drugs totalled £250 2s sd. ;
