A committee meeting of thej Paeroa Defence Rifle Club was held on Wednesday, .Mai'c.h 27. at which Mr E. lotwards, president, presidedi Before, commencing business a welcome homq was, extended tp Captain Simmonds from shooting in Australia. The secretary reported that a letter had been sent to Dr. W- W. Little, a vice-president of the club, prior to his for England, thanking him for his support. It was resolved to send letters of thanks to Air T. Kenny for surveying the range ; to Mr, G. P. Lamb, for supplying telephone poles-; and l to Messrs R. Flatt and D. A. Vincent, for donating trophies for the c.lub competitions’.
It was decided that the next three] Saturdays be devoted to finishing the Handicap Aggregate competition, and the next five Saturdays for completing the Club Championship.
Messrs J. P. Mitchell, R. I. Roberts, and R. W- Roberts were fleeted members. It was decided to purchase a trophy of the value of £2 2s as a prize for file Paeroa match at the South
