<s, ANNUAL MEETINGS. WEST FOOTBALL CLUB. The annual meeting of the West Football Club is to be held in Bain’s Rooms this evening at 7.30 o’clock. The chief business of the meeting is to receive the report; and: balancesheet, and the election of officers for the ensuing year. All members and intending players are invited to be present. EAST CLUB. The East Football Club will hold its annual meeting this evening in Brocket and: Shand’s, rooms, commencing at 7.45 p.m. PAEHOA RUGBY UNION. The annual inqeting of. the Paeroa Rugby Union will be held in tbe Soldiers’ Club to-morrpiw evening at 8 o’clock. The election of officers will take place, and the annual report and' balance-sheet will be; received. NGATEA CLUB. The Ngatea. Rugby Football Club held its annual meeting on Thursday evening, Mr 11. Dent presiding over thirty payers and supporters. The annual report showed a satisfactory season from a playing point of view, but a bad one financially, due to the small gate receipts and few membership subscriptions. For the first time for five seasons the expenditure had exceeded the income. The balance-sheet showed receipts totalling £34’ 10s 7d and expenditure £46 16s lid, reducing the balance t0.£22 6s 2d. Subscriptions collected amounted to £3 17s, donations £5 10s, gate takings £l6 12s 6d, and proc.eeds of dances, £4 13s 7d. The main items of expenditure wer.e : Union levy and surance Igvy, £8 8s ; ground improvements, £4 8s ; and conveyance 'of players, £l4 10s. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. G. Hayward; president, Mr G. T. Davidson ; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Dent and! T. A. Mc.Clqan; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Bertel-, sen; senior selector, Mr R. Rowlings 1 junior selector, Mr E. C. Barriball; third-grade selector, Mr C. S. Foster; social committee;, Messrs C. Abel. F r Leonard, H. Kirkman, H. B. Sparrow, and A. Kilgonr; general committee, all officials; delegates to Hauraki Plains union, Messrs G. T. Davidson and C. S- Foster ; dielegates, to union’s general meetings, Messrs R. Rowlings aiid C. Abel ; first-aid man, Mr H. B. Sparrow. Mr H. Dent, the retiring president, was accorded a vote of thanks and appreciation of services rendered 1 . A vote Of thanks was also accorded all the past season’s officials, and the secretarv was voted £5. for his services ovqr a number of years. It was agreed + o form a third-grade team, and Mr C. S. Foster was appointed selector-manager. The delegates were instructed to support the continuation of the union’s insurance, scheme. It was decided to enter a team for the seven-aside tournament at Te Hoe on April 20. The preparation of the playing; fields was left to the; secretary to arrange. Subscriptions were fixed’ at seniors ss, juniors 3s, third-grade 2s 6d. The secretary was, instructed to endeavour, to arrange friendly matches with other clubs bqfore the colmmenccment of the club competitions.
