DRY SPELL BREAKS.
HEAVY RAIN LAST NIGHT. UNSETTLED CONDITIONS. With almost a neym;-failing certainty the weather a,t this time of the year changes, and, true to the local tradition, St. Patrick’s Day rain has come. Th rou Bh° u t yesterday there were slight showers, but heavy rain fell during the uight, with the wind, from the cast. This morning the wind veered round to a westerly direction, via tlie south, and several showers have occurred. The pfospects at the time of writing seem to be favourable for a fairly fine day, with posr sibly slight showers.
