DISTRICT NEWS.
NGATEA. STREET LIGHTS DANCE. Ngatea will quickly have its street lights if the same success which attended Wednesday evening’s dance continues throughout the aeries of these functions organised by the Public Hall Society to raise funds for the purpose. Dancers: from all parts of the; Plains were present, ami their appreciation of the good time spent augurs well for the future. Splendid music was provided hy the Ngatea Orchestra, and a dainty supper was handed round.
The Monte Qario waltz was won by Miss Pauli and Mr, H. Williams, and the euchre tournament by Mrs Wheeler and Mr L- Cotter, Mrs Dixon and Mr C. Molloy being awarded the consolation prizes.
