II AURA KI PLAINS GROUPS. FIGURES FOR DECEMBER The N.Z. Herd-testing Association’s figures sliciw that during, December the association tested 73,165 cows. The average was 8301 b milk, 4.2 test, and 35.321 b fat, as against. 69,223 cows, showing an average of 8391 b milk, 4-1 test, and 34.671 b fat last December. The December figures for the Hauraki Plains and Waihi groups are : — Ngatea.—Cows, 962 ; averagq milk. 8371 b, 3.lBtest, 32.12 fat, as against 860, 889, 3.8, and 33.91, respectively, last season. The highest herd:, of 48 cows, averaged 39.751 b fat and the lowest, off 45 cows, 18.801 b fat. The highest individual cow registered 741 b fat and the lowest 61b.
Netherton.—Cows, 1311; average milk 7581 b, test 4.1, fat 31.18, as against 941, 782, 4.0, and 31.83 last season. The highest 'herd, of 37 coiws, averaged 47.75 lb fat and the lowest of 25 co.ws, 25.441 b. The highest individual cow registered 741 b fat and the lowest 'slb.
Pate tonga.—Cows, 702 ; average milk 8121 b, test 4.3, fat 35.13, as against 999, 873, 3,9, and 34.76 last sepson. The highest herd, of 30 c.ows, averaged 41.101 b fat and the lowest, of 20 cows, 26.151 b. The highest individual cow registered 741 b fat and the lowest Hlb.
Shelly Beach. —Cows, 307 ; average milk 7511 b, test 4.3, fat 32.51, as against 460, 836, 3.8, and 32.52 last season. The highest herd, of 38 cows, averaged 35.23Jb fat and the; lowest, off 51, 29.491 b. The highest individual cow registered 661 b fat and the lowest 131 b.
Turua.—Cows, 621; ayerpgp milk 8371 b, test 4.1, fat 34.77, as against 624, 820, 3.9, and 32.52 last season. The highest herd, of 73 cows, averaged 43.041 b fat and: the lowest herd, of 17 cows, 24.351 b. The highest individual cow registered' 701 b fat and the lowest 91b.
Waitakaruru.—Cows, 380 ; average milk 8611 b, test, 4.0, fat 34.62, as against 5’50, 900, 3.7, and 33.90 last season. The highest herd, “Ptf 26 c.ows, averaged 40'.731b fat and the lo.west her ; d, of 25 c o ws,- 29.601 b. The highest individual cow registered 721 b fat and the lowest 91b. Waihi.—Cows, 910; average milk 8421 b, test 4’.2, fat 35.42, as against 889, 861, 4.1, and 36.12 last season. The highest herd, of s’l cows;, averaged 44.81 b fat and Me lowest herd, of. 40 cows, 26.401 b. The highest individual cow registered 80]b fat and the lowest 51b.
Waitoa.—Cows, 1508 ; average milk 820'lb, test 4.3, fat 35.4.9, as against 1270, 876, 4.2, and 37.08 last season. The highest.'herd, of 34' cows, averaged 42.231 b fat and the lowest herd, of 46 cows, 26.841 b. The highest indlividual„c.ow registered 771 b fat and the lowest 51b.
