I’lG-MARKETIAG ASSOCIATION. MONTHLY REPORT. The N.Z. Co-operative Pig-Market-ing Association, Hamilton, haS. Lsued the following monthly report:— Supplies of pigs continue to come forward regularly. Last month was a record one for the association, a total of 5685 pigs being handled. The association has large forward orders to fill of pigs ranging from 60 to 1101 b. In order to meet these orders the advance payment ha> been increased on all pigs j n this range. The season has bqen a particularly fortunate one. The scales this season have not fallen below’ 4'%d, and for a large portion of the season have been 5d per lb. The London markqt has been steady, and the Australian market hag consumed a large number of New Zealand pigs. The quality of the pigs handled throughout, the season has been satisfactory. The pigs are being disposed of at satisfactory pricqs as quickly as they come into, the works. Ham and Bacon Orders.—The association. has handled a steady flow of these, and reports from various parts of the country testify to the quality of the bacon.
Porker Bonus.—A first bonus of Id per lb is being paid out forthwith bn all porkers In the second to seventh pools. There should be a small final bonus to come on these pigs. It is hoped to clean up the seventh and qighth baconer pools at the end of the present month, and the indication is that <the pay-out will be satisfactory; to the supplier.
