SMIMMING CARNIVAL.
PAEROA CLUB'S EFFORT.
LIST OF HANDICAPS.
A record number of swimmers have entered for the carnival to be held: tomorrow night. Besides local entries, names have been submitted from Auckland, Thamejs, Tauranga, AVaihj, Te Aroha, Hauraki Plains, Moriinsvillc, New Plymouth, and Hamilton, bringing the total to 211. ;Thus it will be seen ,what tremendous ’ ipr tcr.est is being taken in the a widespread area. The programme of events that has caused such wide attraction to intending participants will provide the public, even apart from swimmers, with an evening’s entertainment of such varied excellence and interest that, it. will long remain in memories as an outstand-: ing night’s pleasure; As the result of several working bees held lately, members of the club, generally assisted by local carpenters and others, have fitted up comfortable seating accommodation, which will ensure relaxation to the onlookers, enabling them to enjoy the exhibition to the utmost The public have strongly supported the club, so that, as well as record entries, a record attendance is anticipated. .Special buses will run from Waihi and Ngatea.
