HAURAKI PLAINS MATCHES. INTER-CLUB FINALS. The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s inter-c.lub final for the Hayward Shield was played at on Saturday, w.he|n the Tur.ua Club’s B team, the holders, met and defeated the Patetonga Club’s team, the winners off the southern zone competition, by 9 sets (92 games) to 4 sets (66 games). At Patetonga, where the two leading A grade team's, in the southern zonq met in the semi-final for the Laidlaw Cup, the Ngatea team which won by 8 sets to 5 qualified to meet the Tur.ua team on Saturday next in the final, at Ngatea.
