HAURAKI PLAINS MATCHES. LAST SATURDAY’S PLAY. The Hauraki Plains Cricket Association’s programme oif. ■ tw'o-day matches, was concluded on Saturday, but the competition lias not finished, as on Friday evening the association decidejrl to play a further r.ound of ■one-day matches. This decision) obviates a play-off, which would otherwise have been necessary between the Ngatea and Waitakaruru teams. Ngatea went down badly before Kopuarahi. on Saturday, and just missed losing the match by an inningSs, In the first innings on the previous Saturday Kopuarahi made 121 and Ngatea 70, ami in the second innings, Kopuarahi secured 126 and Ngatea 56.
Waitakaruru took practically all the previous Saturday to make 96', so that Kaihere had only time to make 13 runs for two wickets, but 'on last Saturday’s play Waitakaruru managed to make it a three-point win!. Kaillere compiled 56 in: the first innings, and, Waitakaruru declared in thte; second innings at 78 for. four wickets. Of the 119 runs necessary for Kaihere to win 107 were 'secured. In the first innings Ngatea made 70 and Kopuarahi made 121. therefore Kopuarahi won the match by 126 runs. MEETING OF ABHUMM

Arrangements for the rest of the matches in the season wer.e made by the Hauraki Plains] Cricket Association at a meeting at. Ngatea on Friday evening.
A further rotund of. one-diay matches as part, of the present competition was dec.ided on, and the draw resulted as follows :—
Waitakaruru at Kopuarahi, Kaihere at Orongo, Pipiroa at Ngatea.
Ng.atca at Orongo,'Pipiroa at Waitakaruru, Kaihere at Kopuarahi.
Ngatea at Kaihere, Pipiroa at Kopuarahi, Waitakaruru at Orongo. Waitakaruru at Ngatea, Pipiroa at Kaihere, Kopuarahi at Orongo.
Kopuarahi at Ngpiea, Pipiroa at Orongo, Waitakaruru at Kaihere. It was decided to challenge the Thames Association for the Court Cup, and the secretary was instructed to write to the Waihi and Piako Associations for representative matches. The A grade gained would be played at Ng,atea and the B grade games at Kopuarahi. . Umpires appointed for these matches were Messrs. F. Pinc.hess and D. McAulay. Messrs J. C. Miller, and J. G. Miller were appointed umpires for the annual matches with Thames, which will be played at Pipiroa and Kopuarahi.
.Mr T. .McKay was appointed! to act with Mr E. O. Brownlee as selector for the Thames-Hauraki Association.
