Mr F. E. Flatt returned yesterday after a business trip to Taranaki as far as Wanganui.
•Mr W. Fathers, who has been deep- 1 sea fishing off the Bay of Islands with Mr Carroll, of Te Aroha, returns to Paeroa to-night.
■Mr W- F. Johnstone, an Qhinemur.i County Councillor, leaves to-day on a tour of Taranaki, Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, and Bay of Plenty.
Mr E. G. Banks, superintendent of the Waihi Gold Mining Co., returned to Waihi on Sunday after several months’ absence in Malaya; on his company’s business.
Mr A. A. Jenkinson, assistant c.lerk of the Ohinemuri County Council, left for Auckland this morning to attend a meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Institute of County Clerks.
Mr Somme.rville, secretary to the Auckland Hospital Board, accompanied by Mrs sommerville, passed through Paeroa yesterday en route to Auckland after spending, a holiday at Rotorua. Mr Sommerville, who used to be with the Kpanata Reefs Gold Mining Co., expressed his pleasure at the great strides Paeroa had made since he was last here.
