TWELVE MEN MISSING.
AUSTRALIAN BUSH FIRES. FLAMES CAUSE EXPLOSIONS. SYDNEY, January 12. A message from Bombala says that 12 Gr.eeks, Who were as sleeper cutters in the vicinity of the Whipstick Mines, where the buildings were all demolished by bush fires, are missing. Great havoc has been wrought among the road camps at Mount Darrah. A large power magazine blew up, ■hurling rock and planking hundreds of yards. C. Farrell, a carrier, was driving a waggon loaded with pejtrloL when flames set fire to the waggon. Farrell liberated) the horses before the petr.ol and shattered the vehicle.
