PAEROA RAINFALL.
FIGURES FOR DECEMBER.
INCREASE IN YEARLY TOTAL
The returns for the December rainfall are just to hand from the; records taken by the local Public Works Department. Rain was registered on fifteen days during the month, the fall on December 9 being the heaviest, amounting to .82 of an inch. The total for the month was 4.24 faches, an increase of 2.59 inches on tihe fall recorded for the same period) in the, previous, year. The total rainfall foe the year was; 63.23 ienhes, and increase of 17.19 inches over the previous year’s fall. Altho.ugh the year, was a wet one, it did not reach the figures for 1924, when 65.15 inches were recorded. The totals for the last six years are as follows: 1923, 52.83 inches; 1?24, 65.1'5 inches ; 1925, 42.62 .niches ; 1926, 62.84 inches; 1927, 46.04 inches; 1928, 63.23 inches.
