PAEROA HIGH SCHOOL.
END OF THE YEAR. BREAKING-.UP CEREMONY. Holiday time has come again, and the teachers and have had a busy time. On Wednesday afternoon Messrs J. H. McDonald (chairman) C. Holes, and R. Lowry (members), of the Sc.hool Committee, were present to bid the teachers and scholars seasonal greetings. The chairman, in congratulating the staff on its good work, said that he had seen the inspectors’ reports, which were very pleading and showed that the s.taff was efficient and that the state of affairs generally was of a high standard. He hoped! all would have a beneficial holiday and come back renewed and with a determination to maintain the school at its present high standard of proficiency. In presenting the Malcolm Shield, which was received by Master Mas,sey Curtis bn behalf of the cricket team, ■Mr McDonald complimented the boys on their sportsmanlike play.
Hearty cheers were then given for the staff.
