AURORA THEATRE PICTURES.
TO-NIGHT. WILD WEST ROMANCE. Ko,.nance and scenic, splendour blend with a thrilling plot in “Wild West Homauce” to form a concoction that will satisfy .thrill seekers. The plot and surroundings) of the story differ from the usual run of westerns. Youth, the prevalent spirit, flings itself headlong throughout the production, regardless of life or limb. SATURDAY NIGHT. THE GRIP OF THE YUKON. There, is a touch of romance find a thrill in “The Grip of the Yukon,” which will set the blood tingling through the veins of the most critical theatre-goer. It is ojie of the most vivid screen versions of the great snow wastes of Ala.Jta that has bep,n presented in many a day. The story is an original photoplay, writ-, tejn by Charles A. Logue, and lhas one of the most unique plots ever worked into a story of this type. BODY AND SOUL. A pretty Swiss peasant girl with a dislocated shoulder, brought to a village inn. where a doctor; a wreck of a onc.e famous, surgeon, tends her injuries and vaguely attracted' by her. Gradually arousing himself from the lethargy into which he has fallep, he sees in the girl, now employed at the inn, youth and beauty, and appeal that calls to his manhood. Such is the bej ginning of the great drama, “Body and Soul,” in which Lionel Barrymore plays the derelict physician. TURUA PICTURES. LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT. To-morrow night Lon Chaney, that great character actor, will be Seen in “London After, Midnight,” a mystery drama with Chaney as a Scotland Yard detective engaged’ in unravelling, a baffling, mysterious, fascinating crime. There is a very strong supporting cast, including Marceline Day, Conrad Nagel, Polly Moran, and Henry Walthall. SINGED. On Wednesday (Boxing Night) “Singed” will be screened! A romance qf the Oklahoma oil wells, the story contains plenty of plot, situations galore, and opportunities for characterisation, and the settings are most colourful. BEN HUR. “Ben Hur” will be screened on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Night.
