HAMILTON STOCK BALE.
The Farmers’ Co operative Auctioneering Co-, Ltd., reports : —
At the Hamilton stock sale on Tuesday last we had a good entry of beef cattle and a fair yarding of stores. Ox beef sold firm, but cow and heifer beef was easier. Fat sheep were penned in small numbers, prime wethers maintaining late values and ewq mutton showing a decline. A full entry of fat and pigs was submitted, fats barely holding late values and stores unchanged. We quote;: — Beef: Medium-weigjit prime fat steers £l3 19s to £l5 0s ; heavy fat cows £l9 4s to £lO Ils, medium £9 2s .to £9 15s ; light and unfinished cows and heifers £7 8s to; £8 12s ; forwaXdccirjditioned cows £6 15s to £7 2s; good framed stores £5 10s to £5 17s ; 15-mopths empty Jersey hojifers £5 5s to £6, small £3 15s to £4 ss; 15 months Jersey-cross £4 ,to £4 15s.
Sheep: Prime shorn wethers 33s to 33s 5d ; medium quality shorn ewes 20s to 21s 9d ; prime; fat hoggets in wool 35s to 38s, lighter 29s 3d. Pigs: Heavy taconers £2 17s to £3. light £2 Ils to £2 15s ; heavy porkers £2 4s to £2 Bs, liglit £2 to £2 3s ; large stores £1 12s to £2 2s; slips 18s to 28s f weaners 6s to 17s.
