WHEN DAWN COMES.

Oh White, Wings, where will you carry me ? Over the mountains and over the sea ? The moonlight will make it sparkle so, As the tiny waves dance to and fro. Then over, mountains and valleys grepn, Divided by many a' pandering stream, Fading away to a narrow band And stretching afar, in a <J‘-m lit land. Oh ! White Wings, pa,use I I would like to stay, Watching the scene till the break of day. I don’t wish to see thq stirring life Of another day of toil and strife ; Carry me on, and whein dawn breaks I will say a prayer for all their sakes. —A.J.G.S., Paeroa.
